Article among the best of the decade

Two articles written by professors at the Polytechnic School of the University of Alcalá are among the Top 10 of the best research papers in the decade from 2000 to 2012 of the journal IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. The article that has got the no. 8 has been written by the team led by Luis M. Bergasa the UAH group of RoboCity2030.rn

La colaboración entre la UC3M y el Kings College London (KCL) ha dado lugar a la publicación en el International Journal of Humanoid Robotics. Los autores del artículo son Miguel González-Fierro (UC3M), Carlos Balaguer (UC3M), Nicola Swann (Kingston University y Thrishantha Nanayakkara (KCL). El artículo aceptado se titula Full-Body Postural Control of a Humanoid Robot with both Imitation Learning and Skill Innovation. Esta colaboración incluye un acuerdo para la codirección de la tesis doctoral de Miguel González-Fierro que estuvo de estancia en el KCL en 2011.

Collaboration between UC3M and Kings College London (KCL) has given rise to a publication in International Journal of Humanoid Robotics. Authors of this paper are Miguel González-Fierro (UC3M), Carlos Balaguer (UC3M), Nicola Swann (Kingston University and Thrishantha Nanayakkara (KCL). The article in press is named Full-Body Postural Control of a Humanoid Robot with both Imitation Learning and Skill Innovation. This collaboration includes an appointment for coadvising the PhD thesis of Miguel González-Fierro who had a research stay in KCL in 2011.

Nuestro compañero Alejandro Martín Clemente (UC3M) presentó el día 31 de enero de 2014 su Tesis Doctoral. El título del trabajo es Modelo de control de sistemas no lineales de tipo SMA. Los directores fueron Dolores Blanco y Luis Moreno. El tribunal de tesis estaba formado por Santiago Garrido, Joaquín Aranda and Juan Manuel Pérez Orea. Obtuvo la máxima calificación posible.
