IEEE-RAS Humanoids 2014 conference will be held in Madrid, Spain, during November 18-20th, 2014. Carlos Balaguer is the general chair of this conference (as well as the coordinator of RoboCity2030-II-CM). Among the organizing and conference committees are included the following members of RoboCity2030-II-CM: Manuel Armada, José María Cañas, Fabio Bonsignorio, Luis Moreno, Alberto Jardón, Concepción Monje, Sonia Mata, Luis Moreno, Santiago Martínez de la Casa, Juan Carlos González Víctores, Eduardo Silles, Antonio Barrientos, Elena García, Manuel Ferre and Ernesto Gambao. It will follow the previous ones in Atlanta, USA (2013)

Our colleague Alejandro Martín Clemente (UC3M) presented in January, 31, 2014 his PhD Thesis. Its title is Modelo de control de sistemas no lineales de tipo SMA. The directors of the thesis were Dolores Blanco and Luis Moreno. The examing board was formed by Santiago Garrido, Joaquín Aranda and Juan Manuel Pérez Orea. He received the highest rating possible.

Our colleague Enrique Valero (UNED) presented in December, 19, 2013 his PhD Thesis. Its title is Generación automática de modelos 3D con escáneres láser y tecnologías inteligentes. The directors of the thesis were Carlos Cerrada and Antonio Adán. The examing board was formed by José Antonio Cerrada, Rubén Heradio, Santiago Salamanca, Arturo de la Escalera and Luis Salamanca. He received the highest rating possible.

Our colleague Jorge García Bueno (UC3M) presented in December, 19, 2013 his PhD Thesis. Its title is Reconstruction and Recognition of Confusable Models using Three-Dimensional Perception. The director of the thesis was Luis Moreno. The examing board was formed by Dolores Blanco, Ernesto Gambao and Alfonso García Cerezo. He received the highest rating possible.

Gabriel Barroso has received the Award R&D award from Caser Foundation of the design of an electromechanical and portable device that produces an automatic grip. This project pretends substitute the lack of mobility of these persons and help them to use some objects. The director of this work and Master Thesis is Alberto Jardón.
